THANK YOU to all who joined us as patrons or merchants for our Inaugural Event in 2025! The crew at OHIO PIRATE CON enjoyed having you be a part of our epic, swashbuckling first year adventure!

Over 1,100 Patrons and Pirates of all ages and styles entered PORT FREMONT and rang the BELL asking PERMISSION to BOARD. It was a simple thing that turned into a fun and photogenic moment for all who entered the event this 1st year. Here is a little video showing some of the moments captured. OHIO PIRATE CON has plans already in the works to surprise one and all with the debut of an amazing NEW entrance for 2026... and it will of course feature the CROSSOVER-BELL!

Mayor Danny Sanchez… after some strong words and stiff negotiations with the NAUTI-NAVIGATOR “Crazy Bob”, MARTIN KLEBBA (Actor from Pirates of the Caribbean), Captain Jack and the Purple Pirate reluctantly surrenders the coveted KEY to the CITY to the Pirates for the weekend! Thus began a Pirate-Style victory celebration full of bawdy, eclectic fun, entertainment, and activities, complete with good food and drink for one and ALL in Port Fremont.

GREAT NEWS to SHARE… for 2026 the event will be a 3-Day event (Fri, Sat & Sun) and held officially inside the SANDUSKY COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS where we will have access to large open-air barns, air-conditioned buildings, paved walking paths, shaded areas, benches for seating, nice restrooms and MORE!
